LeBron James had a $3,000 cake made for his 27th-birthday party on South Beach.
The baker, Alethea Hickman, made the cake for free in exchange for the publicity her shop would get from the event.
But when it arrived and wasn't up to King James' high standards, his people swapped in another cake, the Miami Herald reports.
Hickman hired extra employees to finish the cake on short notice, and she apparently got nothing in return.
Here's how the party planner Jared Galbut explained the decision to nix the cake:
“It just wasn’t what was expected. When LeBron’s people saw it, they just didn’t want to use it and decided to bring their own cake. I can’t tell LeBron James what birthday cake to eat. It’s LeBron James, for Christ’s sake.”
Hickman is now angry.
"Someone needs to pay," she said.
